Custom Pet Portrait Pins….. Here are some examples of my pet portrait pins and also porcelain pendants. The pins are made from 1/8” thick wood. The designs are cut out with a band saw. Several coats of gesso are applied to the front, back and edges. The gesso is sanded very smooth between coats. The pins are done with acrylic paints and are sealed on both sides and edges. The back is painted with a marbled pattern. I sign each pin on the back and I can also include the pet’s name. Head study pins shown here are about 3” high and full body pins are about 2.5”, but I can make the pins any size you prefer. Pins with one subject are $45. Additional subjects in same pin are $10 each. ___________________ Custom Porcelain Pendants….. The porcelain pendants are 1.2” x 1.6”. They are done with a special paint that is baked on. I do these with only one color, blue-black. This technique was insprired by Delft blue and white china. The porcelain ovals are surrounded by a 14 carat gold-filled cinch mount. A 24” chain is included with each pendant. Cinch mounts are also available in sterling silver. Pendants are $45.
